Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Coffee Dial Log (“the App”) is operated by the developer listed on the App Store product page. If you have questions about this policy, contact us via the Support page.
2. Information we collect
Most data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad:
- Brew records — beans, parameters, notes, templates, and comparison history.
- Media — photos and optional voice notes you attach to brews.
- App preferences — display name, coin balance, reminder settings, and similar local settings.
We do not operate a cloud account system for core app features.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions when you use related features:
- Camera & Photo Library — to capture or import brew and bean photos.
- Microphone — to record optional voice tasting notes.
- Notifications — only if you enable brew reminders in Me → Brew Reminders.
- App Tracking Transparency — optional prompt shown at launch; used only if you allow tracking for measurement purposes.
You can revoke permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
4. Purchases
Coin packs are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment and may collect billing information according to its own privacy policy. We receive purchase confirmation to credit coins in the App but do not receive your full payment card details.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal brew data. We may share limited information only when:
- You export content (for example, saving a compare image to Photos).
- Required by law or to protect our legal rights.
- Processed by Apple as part of App Store, IAP, or device services you use.
6. Data retention & deletion
Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App (for example, Me → Clear All Data) or uninstall the App. Clearing all data permanently removes beans, brews, templates, photos, and voice notes from local storage.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
We use standard iOS storage mechanisms. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but because data is primarily local, access is limited to your device and your backups.
9. International users
If you use the App outside your home country, your information is processed on your device under your control.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
